Disability-Inclusive Checklist: Building Accessible Events was a 50-minute workshop developed for the National Association of College and University Residence Halls (NACURH), which represents 300+ colleges and universities across the United States and Canada. It was presented during NACURH’s Annual Conference, hosted by Louisiana State University in May-June 2019. Boyle, representing the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, earned the designation of Top 40 Programs conference-wide based on attendee ratings.

The workshop introduced attendees to the diversity of disabilities and how a campus event may have unintentional barriers to full student participation. Attendees were then merged into groups, given packets with event proposals, and tasked with ways to make them more accessible before presenting to everyone. At the end, each attendee received a flyer with resources and contact information so they could pass on information and create change on their home campuses. Based on initial attendee ratings, the workshop was nominated to be presented again during the conference, doubling the overall attendance.
